“Honestly, I just love telling stories...”

Born and raised in South Florida, Ian grew up with a love for theatre and film. In high school, he appeared in countless theatre productions, was the leading host of the morning announcements, and a State Champion in Speech & Debate. He went on to attend the University of Central Florida and received his BFA in Acting.

After undergrad, Ian traveled and performed all around the country. He has been to all 50 states, has explored 25/63 National Parks, visited 15 countries across 4 continents.

He received his Masters at the Brown University/Trinity Rep MFA Acting program, where he expanded his acting training and developed himself as a director.

With a strong focus on Movement, Ian has years of martial arts experience, holds a Recommended Certification in Unarmed from SAFD, experience as a fight captain and various weapons in numerous theatre productions, completed an independent study on Intimacy Direction, trained with Jozef Frucek and Fighting Monkeys in Germany, traveled to South Africa to take African Goombay classes, and was taught Viewpoints, Contact Improv, and other various dance forms with Shura Baryshnikov.

Through his training in acting and directing, and what he has learned through travel, Ian hopes to cultivate projects that uplift and acknowledge the inherent multiplicity of the human experience.
